1. What Is raw Flumethasone powder?

Flumethasone is used to treat certain types of outer ear infections. It helps to reduce swelling, itching, redness, and discomfort in the ear. This ear drop contains both flumethasone, an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid, and clioquinol, an antibiotic that stops the growth of certain bacteria and fungi. This medication treats only certain types of bacterial and fungal ear infections. It will not work for other types of ear infections. Unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness. This medication should not be used in children younger than 2 years.

Synonym: 6α,9α-Difluoro-16α-methyl-11β,17α,21-trihydroxy-1,4-pregnadiene-3,20-dione, 6α,9α-Difluoro-16α-methylprednisolone, 6α-Fluorodexamethasone.

Flumetasone (INN; or flumethasone) is a corticosteroid for topical use. Trade names include Locacorten, Locorten, and Orsalin. It is available in combination with clioquinol, under the trade name Locacorten-Vioform (in some countries Locorten-Vioform), for the treatment of otitis externa and otomycosis.Hot tags: Ceritinib . It is usually formulated as the pivalic acid ester prodrug flumetasone pivalate. Flumethasone is 420 times as potent as cortisone in an animal model for anti-inflammatory activity.

2. How Does raw Flumethasone powder Works?

Flumethasone is a glucocorticoid receptor agonist. This complex binds to the nucleus causing a variety of genetic activation and repressions. The antiinflammatory actions of corticosteroids are thought to involve lipocortins, phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins which, through inhibition arachidonic acid, control the biosynthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes.

The immune system is suppressed by corticosteroids due to a decrease in the function of the lymphatic system, a reduction in immunoglobulin and complement concentrations, the precipitation of lymphocytopenia, and interference with antigen-antibody binding. Flumethasone binds to plasma transcortin, and it becomes active when it is not bound to transcortin.

3. How to Use Flumethasone powder?

Flumethasone pivalate is a topical difluorinated corticosteroid ester with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictive properties. A prompt decrease in inflammation, exudation and itching is experienced after application. It is commonly used in veterinary practice1 and has been used in cortiso assays to study early porcine conceptus development.

Ear drops containing flumetasone and clioquinol are used to treat inflammation of the outer ear, especially if it is thought an infection is causing the swelling. This happens in ear conditions such as otitis externa. Flumetasone reduces the inflammation, and clioquinol treats the infection。

Before you start the treatment, read the manufacturer's printed information leaflet from inside the pack. It will give you more information about the drops and will provide you with a full list of any side-effects which you may experience from using them.Wash your hands before you begin.

Gently clean your ear with warm water and pat it dry.

Remove the cap from the bottle of ear drops.

Lie down, or tilt your head a little, so that the affected ear is facing upwards.

Gently pull down on your earlobe to straighten the ear canal.

Hold the container upside down near to the ear. Try not to touch the inside of your ear as you do this.

Apply enough pressure to release two or three drops from the dropper into your ear.

Keep your ear facing upwards for a few minutes to allow the solution to come into contact with the affected area.

Repeat the process in your other ear if you have been asked to use the drops in both ears.

Replace the cap on to the bottle of drops.

This medication is for use only in the ear. For best results, the ear canal should be clean and dry before using this medication. Apply this medication into the ear, usually twice daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not use this medication more often or for longer than prescribed.

The length of treatment is usually not more than 10 days. To make sure that the right amount of medication is given, and to avoid touching the ear with the dropper, have another person give the drops if possible. To lower the risk of dizziness, hold the container in your hand for a few minutes to warm it. To apply ear drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your ear or any other surface.

Lie on your side or tilt the affected ear upward. Hold the dropper directly over the ear and place the prescribed number of drops into the ear canal. To help the drops roll into the ear of an adult, hold the earlobe up and back. In children, hold the earlobe down and back. Keep the head tilted for about 2 minutes, or insert a soft cotton plug in the ear if so directed. Repeat for the other ear if so directed. Do not rinse the dropper. Replace the cap after use.
